  • Each Corner of the Bandana Represents an Element:

    • North is Earth represented by the Mocajete, which is made of stone in Mexico.

    • South is Fire represented by the Embudo, which is used as a home remedy in Mexican culture to remove ear aches, excess water, or even bad spirits.

    • East is Air represented by the burning of Palo Santo, the Holy Stick, which is grown across Central and South America and used in cleansing rituals among several latinx and indegenous cultures.

    • West is Water represented by the Egg Cleanse, another home remedy popular in Mexican culture, often used to remove the Evil Eye and/or sickness.

  • Other Imagery Includes:

    • Grackles/Cuervos - native to North, Central, and South America
